PDX Latino Gay Pride is Coming!


Live ‘la vida loca’ with PDX Latino Gay Pride!

Three big events over the span of two days will definitely give you time to

celebrate and enjoy life in P-town.

Latino Gay Pride is located at the Jupiter Hotel, so make a weekend of it by booking a room and partying with us from dusk to dawn (and then from dawn to dusk!).


The Festival is the highlight of the PLGP celebration and brings together nearly 800 – 1000 attendees each year. The main stage has a line up of traditional and cultural performances, local & regional entertainers, community leaders, public officials, and non-stop DJ music. Delicious Latin-style cuisine as well as margaritas, cerveza, and a signature cocktail keeps everyone in a festive mood. The Sponsor Exhibit and Vendor Area includes community resource information, volunteer opportunities, local and national businesses.

Queens, we are talking a full throttle man auction here- hotter than the weather. Win a date with one of those fabulous soccer studs. Not to fret, this isn’t your pretty in pink type of event. 30 years ago Rose Empress VI Mame and Rose Emperor V Frank started Valentine’s From Hell, a tough drag show unlike any other. All proceeds from the door, performers, auction and raffle go to support the Pride of the Rose Scholarship Fund. $5 suggested donation.

Don’t be discouraged, we don’t mean drag as in a bad weekend is upon us, but a great one baby! Whether you’re in the mood to get in the holiday spirit or just want to go out and have a crazy night, you can get your queen fix from different shows that are happening around Portland.

12/20 – 12/24: The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Town Women’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of “A Christmas Carol” @ Venetian Theatre, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
In the mood for a good laugh? What could be better than a comical production in drag? The genteel English ladies from Farndale Avenue’s Dramatic Society have been described as “Downton Abbey meets The Three Stooges in drag” due to their disaster prone ways and unawareness of their incompetence. Since the show revolves around this lovely time of the year, it’s a great way to start your Holiday weekend off right. To enjoy the show you must be 16 or older. Tickets are $28 for adults and $19 for students and seniors.

12/20 – 12/22: Darcelle XV & Company @Darcelle XV Showplace, 8 PM and 10:30 PM
These world famous female impersonators have been entertaining audiences for over 37 years with the Las Vegas-style cabaret performances of Glitz, Glamour and Comedy. If you’ve been living in Portland and haven’t seen this show yet this weekend is the perfect time. Reservations to attend are not required but are encouraged to guarantee a great seat. This show takes place throughout the week and has male strippers for its Friday and Saturday night crowd at midnight after the second show finishes. So come early and stay late for a special treat! It’s $15 to attend, but if you make it to one of the early showings on the weekend you get to stay free for the male strippers.

12/23: Superstar Divas Megashow @ CC Slaughters, 8 PM
Head to CC Slaughters to see Portland’s best drag group Honey Bea Hart, Bolivia Carmichaels, and Ginger Lee. The night will be filled with show stopping performances including comedy, skits, live singing, game shows, and dance groups. This happens every Sunday with different guest performances each week so if you can’t make it this time, don’t fret. Must be 21 or older and there is no cover to attend this fabulous event.
