This week we are taking a load off. Winding down and gearing up- Somewhere in between the calm and the storm. Raise your hand if you had a blastie at the PQ Monthly launch party last week. (No, no. Not that kind of blastie ;))
Happening this week:
- We do love exhibition. Starting Thursday, February 23rd the Oregon History Museum will showcase Bittersweet Harvest: The Bracero Program, 1942-1964. The exhibit is a bilingual exposition from the Smithsonian that explores the largest guest worker program in U.S History and features work by famed photojournalist Leonard Nadel.
- Gaybaret: The Beginning. A story of longing, seduction and marriage takes the stage Saturday, February 25th from 7-9pm at the PDX Q Center. Connecting Broadway with Opera and Pop, the queer coming out story uses the help of Mozart, Rossini and more will take the audience on a musical adventure. Life is a gaybaret, ol’ chum!
