Weekend Happenings

Even though the weather this week hasn’t been fabulous, this weekend definitely will be. Beartown is finally here and Bearpocalypse will be taking over the Jupiter. Don’t even bother trying to hide your excitement- we aren’t!

Happening this week:

Beartown 17: Bearpocalypse!

  • It’s the weekend you’ve all been waiting for- Beartown 17! We wait for this time of year with great anticipation because our rooms will be filled with Lily’s favorites: her fun loving, juicy, manly men! You definitely won’t want to miss all the festivities Bearpocalypse has in store for Portland. Between dance parties, Bear Market, Bingo, cocktail hours and banquets, you won’t find yourself bored; and with numerous Beartown events happening at the hotel, just plant yourself smack dab in the middle of the Jupiter and you won’t miss a single sinfully fantastic beat. Plus, check out other Beartown events going on nearby.
  • If art is your scene, you’ll definitely want to check out the Gallery @ the Jupiter and Enjoy a local Portland artist at the Jupiter before taking off for a First Thursday Gallery Walk around the Pearl on June 7th. First Thursday gives curious individuals such as yourselves to view new work in local Portland galleries. Most galleries will be open from 6-9PM and it’s definitely an adventure worth taking. Enjoy a local Portland artist at the Jupiter before heading out to the Pearl.
  • Looking for something more philanthropic to do? The Wonder Quest Annual Benefit for the Quest Center is happening at the Wonder Ballroom Saturday, June 9th, at 6:30PM. There will be libations, nibbles and dessert paired with silent and live auctions and special entertainment. The fabulous Project Runway co-hosts Mondo Guerra and Bryce Black will also be in attendance. Because this is quite the big event, tickets are needed! Funds raised from this benefit will be used to support the Quest Center and their mission to help the community.
