Weekend Happenings

This week at the Jupiter we are holding our breaths for the warm weekend weather we’ve been promised! When we asked our in-house weatherwoman this morning, she told us there was a chance Saturday might get up to 75 degrees! Yes, you read that correctly. Lily herself said 75! And we all know that when Lily the oracle speaks, it couldn’t be anything but true. So dig out those shorts (and that sunblock) and soak up all the vitamin D you can get!

Happening this week:

• It’s Thirsty Thursday, all right! Mountains to Metro kicks off tonight, Thursday April 19th from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Governor Hotel. Packed inside the Heritage Ballroom, more than 35 vineyards and restaurants will showcase their signature tastings from the region’s impressive 100 square mile viticultural area.
• It takes two to Tango. But let’s be honest, the more the merrier. Tango with the Dolls and Dykes of Mango Nights Orchestra at the Conga Club tonight at 7:30PM. Partner up with a taxi dancer (or two) to learn the Argentine Tango, a sensual Latin dance. The event will include a full bar, If wallflowering is more your style. Olé!
• Get help picturing people in their underwear. Saturday April 21st, UnderU For Men will host a fashion show and benefit for Basic Rights Oregon. From 7:00 to 10:00PM, the event festivities will include models, music and champagne, plus a shopping discount and validated parking. Shop (and swoon) ‘til you drop!
