Happy Thanksgiving! This week we’d like to give thanks to our loyal friends, fans and followers. The Jupiter wouldn’t be as totally fabulous as it is without you groupies. We’ll also be taking Friday off so we can really give in to our Turkey comas. Cheers!

Happening this week:

  • This weekend Willamette Valley Wines is hosting the 29th Annual Wine Country Thanksgiving. The holiday festivities, which will feature more than 160 regional wineries, kicks off Friday November 25th. Maybe after a couple of bottles you’ll find even more to be thankful for.
  • On Friday, November 25th at 9pm you can party with a purpose for a suggested donation of $5. The Foggy Notion will present Just Us, a dance party and silent auction to benefit PDX local Monica Taylor. Score some goods you can feel good about.
  • Love is in the air. Judy Rickard, author of Torn Apart: United by Love, Divided by Law will make an appearance at Portland’s feminist book store, In Other Words. The talk, sale and signing will take place Sunday, November 27th from 2-4pm.

Links we loved:

  • A church in Raleigh, North Carolina has taken a vow to abstain from marrying heterosexual couples until gay marriage is legal throughout the state. That’s something we can commit to!
  • Occupy Marriage. A young couple became the first to wed at an Occupy hub in New York.
  • Out Magazine compiled a pictorial piece of the gayest monuments from the world over. Which do you think takes the gay cake?
